Lee-Ann Ellis named Provincial Trainer of The Year

from OHA website:

“The Hockey Development Centre for Ontario (HDCO) has announced Lee-Ann Ellis is this year’s recipient of the Dr. Tom Pashby “Provincial” Trainer of the Year Award.

This award recognizes those individuals who demonstrate outstanding dedication and service in the areas of safety and risk management as well as a commitment to the values of safety, enjoyment, fair play, education and integrity in the game of hockey through the Hockey Trainers Certification Program in the province of Ontario.

Ellis was nominated by the Ontario Hockey Association for her outstanding dedication and service as Head Trainer with the Sarnia Legionnaires Jr. B Hockey Club. For the past two years Ellis has spent countless hours upgrading the Trainer position with the Legionnaires.  She has effectively digitized the entire Trainer/Player portfolio, generated online forms for player input with cross referencing capabilities to the team’s musculoskeletal and concussion control physicians.

In 2016, Ellis completed a 30-year career with the Toronto Fire Services, retiring as Captain.

Please join the OHA and HDCO in congratulating Lee-Ann Ellis on receiving this most deserving award”
