On behalf of the Lilley family, we wish to express our profound gratitude to the citizens of Sarnia-Lambton, and the Legionnaires Jr. B Hockey Club, for the success of the recent Penny M. Lilley Memorial Wooly Toss.
Through advanced collection and the toss at the game, we were able to collect an astonishing 2500 woolies, which were distributed to St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army, the Inn of the Good Shepherd and Pathways Health Centre for Children. Through the generosity of our donors, we were also able to provide multiple grocery vouchers for Christmas hamper distribution. Special thanks to Aqua Pools and D&S for acting as donation centers; and to Aqua Pools, InSPArations Repairs and Service, Paul, Kelly and Matt Lane, Sarnia Legionnaires Jr. B Hockey Club, Bluewater Nutrition, Sarnia Cabinets, Doug and Cathy Wilson, Coops Automotive, Dr. Jessica Bourassa, Kathleen Hunt of Lotus Wellness, Tim and Jane Nesseth, and Greg Burr for their generous donations. Thanks also to all our amazing knitters, with special mention to Ellen Hurlock and her knitting group, and Sheila Turner. Thank-you also to Smith Funeral Home, Cross Works Physiotherapy, and Vision Nursing Home for collecting numerous woolies. We continue to be humbled and astounded by the generosity of this community. Penny would have been so overwhelmed and proud of you all.
