Message from the Lilley Family

On behalf of the Lilley family, we wish to express our profound gratitude to the citizens of Sarnia-Lambton, and the Legionnaires Jr. B Hockey Club, for the success of the recent Penny M. Lilley Memorial Wooly Toss.  Though we were unable to hold the physical event this year, we were still able to collect over 1300 hats, scarves, mitts and gloves, which were distributed to St. Vincent de Paul, the Salvation Army and Pathways Health Centre for Children.  Through the generosity of our donors, we were also able to collect a significant amount of cash, which was used to provide food vouchers for distribution.  Special thanks to Aqua Pools and D&S for acting as collection and sorting centers; and to Aqua Pools, Bluewater Nutrition, InSPArations Repairs and Service, Sarnia Legionnaires Jr. B Hockey Club, Dr. Jessica Bourassa DDS, Theo Bet, Impac Systems and Marketing, and Tim and Jane Nesseth for their generous donations.  Thanks also to all our knitters, with special mention to Ellen Hurlock and her knitting group for providing 3 full garbage bags of knitted goods, Smith Funeral Home for their collection of 150 items, and Mrs. Gould for 50 pairs of mittens!   We continue to be humbled and astounded by the generosity of this community.  Just one more reason why Sarnia-Lambton is such a great place to live.
