𝑫𝑬𝑭𝑬𝑵𝑪𝑬 𝑭𝑰𝑹𝑺𝑻 is a unique hockey program (for boys and girls) to focus on the specific skills that are required to play Defence in hockey. This program is designed to increase knowledge and skill development through drills, power skating, and classroom sessions.
The skill areas that will be taught include:

𝑺𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒊𝒄𝒆 𝒕𝒆𝒄𝒉𝒏𝒊𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔
The week long program will be delivered by local coach Derek Di Muzio. Derek’s coaching resume includes being both a Head and Assistant Coach at the Junior level for over 16 years. Derek has won numerous coaching awards, and has a proven track record for developing local talent and helping them move to higher levels of hockey (e.g. OHL, NCAA, AHL, NHL). He has been an Assistant Coach with the Ontario Hockey League’s Sarnia Sting in the past and his focus area was on skill development. He has helped many Defensemen currently playing in the NHL develop their skills (e.g. Jakob Chychrun, Anthony DeAngelo, T.J. Brodie, Dalton Prout, and more).

𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬: Your son or daughter will either skate from 10-11am or 11am-12pm daily
Other Development: There will be daily teaching emails sent to your son/daughter packed full of information on how to improve their skills and better understand the technical and tactical skills necessary to play hockey.
