The Sarnia Legionnaires would like to announce and introduce our official coaching staff for the 2025/2026 season!
Mike Bondy will be our Head Coach and Director of Player Development, bringing a wealth of experience to the team as a proud Sarnia Bee alumni with 8 years of pro hockey, a decade of coaching in the GOJHL, and the honor of being the 2009-2010 OHA Coach of the Year, making his leadership and expertise invaluable.
Dan Gibson, our new Associate Coach and Advisor of Hockey Operations, brings a wealth of experience to our team. Starting his coaching career in 1986, he’s held key roles from Head Coach to General Manager in various leagues, including the Jr. Development League, St. Marys Lincolns, and London Nationals. As one of the founding members of the GOJHL his expertise promises to significantly enhance our gameplay and team strategy.
Dalton Jay joins us as Assistant Coach, boasting an impressive background as a former professional player with the Port Huron Prowlers and experience in the GOJHL with Welland, the OJHL Jr. A Burlington Cougars, and college hockey at Westfield State.
Goalie Coach Mark Phillips has been a dedicated coach with LJS for years. His commitment to player development and team success is unmatched.
We’re confident this group will lead our team with integrity, intensity, and a passion for developing our players. We are looking forward to a great season ahead!
